Noted Waterford cartographer Eugene "Gene" Scheel's historic maps of Virginia's counties, towns and villages have been featured in several national newspapers, including the Washington Post.

His hand-drawn, exquisitely detailed maps show all Civil War battles, actions, and skirmishes. They also include family graveyards, old roads, stores, mills, Indian sites, and both historic and new place names. All maps may be autographed on request.
